In this episode of The Tantric Life Podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Daniel Erulian, a yoga teacher trainer who blends the ancient practices of tantra, magic, divination, runes, and martial arts into a truly holistic approach to spirituality. Daniel shares his view of yoga as the thread that unites all spiritual practices, embodying its original meaning of “to yoke” or “to unite.” We dive into his unique view of the divine—not as a limited entity with human traits, but as a boundless, paradoxical consciousness woven into every part of existence.

Daniel guides us through his understanding of the self using a tantric model with six layers: the physical, energetic, mental, and subconscious layers, along with the void and pure awareness—the Divine essence in all of us. This model offers a framework for understanding life as a never-ending dance of experience and mystery. His approach to magic is equally fascinating, blending science and art to bring focused intention and symbolic action together in a way that can tangibly influence reality.

In our discussion, Daniel also explores his five-element chakra system based on earth, water, fire, air, and void, emphasizing the benefits of this approach over the widely used seven-chakra model. He explains how the five elements align more closely with the original tantric teachings, providing a grounding framework for spiritual practice.

Daniel then gives us a detailed look at his Ritual Embodiment Yoga Teacher Training, a 200-hour Yoga Alliance-certified program. This training combines classical tantric yoga with practices from haṭha, vinyasa flow, tai chi, and kung fu. With deep dives into breathwork, meditation, mantra, and mudra practices, the training emphasizes integration of these spiritual tools into everyday life. Fully accessible online, the program features an interactive platform with live sessions and progress tracking, and Daniel is actively building in-person opportunities with yoga studios in Australia and retreats in Thailand. Graduates leave with the skills to teach multiple yoga styles and a transformative, embodied approach to spirituality.
